Old PCs which comes with old Window programs are very likely to score low in the speed department. However, doesnt mean you must verify the new computer models in your area.

You can also choose to make your booting|want to change your PC booting faster by setting add Logo=0 to get rid of the heavy Windows logo throughout start-up.

> Optimize start menu.
Speed up Windows by having instant access to your start menu. Hit on Start and access Run. Type Regedit within the bar and press Enter. Go to the Registry editor folder named HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop. If there is a MenuShowDelay, double click it and change the value of data field to 0. This will load Start program without any delay at all.

> Turn off active desktop.
For Windows 98, select the Display Properties settings and access Web tab. Unmark the option for View my Active Desktop as a Web Page. This very simple tip will have your Windows 98 speeding up in no time.
